Questionnaires were sent out in an effort to learn world-wide just how electric machinery manufacturers were using digital computers to help themselves in the design of their machines. This article is based upon a study of the returns from this survey, and it is presented with the hope that electric machinery designers will find some inspiration and some helpful suggestions therein for more effective use of the computer in design work and related activities. |
