Contents: This paper presents the development of an equivalent circuit for the skewed rotor induction motor, from the fundamental principles. It also compares some significant versions of these equivalent circuits developed to take into account the skew leakage reactance. The suitability of the different circuits In evolving the saturation factors to arrive at the blocked rotor reactance and the blocked rotor current is also discussed.
