Contents: This paper presents an improved Volts/Hertz induction motor control using fuzzy logic design. This one allows one to generate the nonlinear Volts/Hertz characteristic in low-speed range in order to compensate the stator resistance effect. The comparative study between the ordinary Volts/Hertz control and designed Volts/Hertz fuzzy logic control shows clearly that the second one presents an increase of motor torque characteristics accompanied by a reduction of machine losses without the stator resistance knowledge.
