The therapeutic use of healing ceremonies is a viable treatment option for eating disorders. The unique setting in which I practice group, individual, and couples psychotherapy focuses on changing the relationship with food. Through insight development and skill enhancement in psychoeducational workshops, Structure House participants are encouraged to explore and challenge the way they interact with themselves, others, and their environment. More experimental work is done in therapy groups—some with a theme or focus, and others with an open agenda. |
