This paper is based on interviews with 10 men all of whom became paraplegic through trauma in adult life. These interviewees and the interviewer are all Hong Kong Chinese. The interviews concentrated on the respondents' sexual adjustment and help they may or may not have received from professionals involved in their treatment and rehabilitation. The author examines the application of the individual and social models of handicap in the specific area of sexuality. |
