The Hadamard product or convolution of two power series is defined as follows. Let [image omitted] and [image omitted] be two analytic functions which send 0 to itself. The Hadamard product, denoted h = f * g is defined as [image omitted] Many geometric properties of the Hadamard product of two functions can be obtained by looking at certain integral representations of the product. We will use this representation to look at one fundamental question: If fand g both map the unit disk to a convex region whose boundaries each contain a line segment, when is it necessary that the image of the unit disk under f*g have a similar segment in its boundary. |
