In a sense made precise in Theorem 1, it is shown that if 0<t0≤t<1, then the L1 norm of [image omitted] over the set where [image omitted] is uniformly small if A0 is sufficiently large. The principal objective is to derive Theorem 2: If f is a quasiconformal mapping of U, [image omitted] , then f is uniquely extremal among the class of mappings g of U, with [image omitted] . |
