Let ƒ be a univalent function in the unit disk D with a quasiconformal extension such that the complex dilatation tends to zero near the unit circle We compare the complex dilatation with a related quantity describing the asymptotical conformality of the boundary curve [image omitted] and also with two quantities containing the logarithmic derivative ƒ”/ƒ' and the Schwarzian derivative of ƒ respectively We give equivalent conditions for the rate of convergence of these quantities and obtain sharp conditions for smoothness and rectifiability of [image omitted] respectively. |
