The present paper is a continuation of [8], where the Riemann—Hilbert problem for generalized Cauchy—Riemann systems is considered. The main result of [8] is a criterion for the Fredholm property of this boundary value problem. Here we use this criterion to investigate the question about existence and non-existence of Fredholm boundary value problems. So we are able to classify the majority of all possible generalized Cauchy—Riemann systems. The theorems to be presented here, contain all known results of other authors as special cases. A subsequent paper will deal with the adjoined boundary value problem and the application of direct methods. |
