Contents: The purpose of this study was (1) to examine the influence of slide-tape self-instructional modules on community college biology student achievement, (2) to determine whether these modules improve overall final course grades, and (3) to discover whether students feel good about their participation in such a course. Data analysis indicates significant gains on one of four content achievement tests, significantly better overall grades, and positive reaction from students.
