Auteur: Konicek, Dale George
Verschenen in: Community college journal of research and practice

Jaar: 1992
Inhoud: This study investigated the relationship between industry-related training assignments and the level of faculty job satisfaction in community colleges that perform industry-related training. A questionnaire was used to collect information from faculty in 37 community colleges in Texas. Demographical variables and work environmental factors provide a profile of the faculty group and insight into faculty job satisfaction. Overall, faculty studied were generally satisfied with the work that they perform, but they did not like their working conditions. Faculty recommendations include improving professional development activities, travel reimbursement programs, work assignments, and forms of de-partmentation for conducting training activities.
