A review of the history of, and reoccurring need for, professional codes of ethics leads to the conclusion that community college administrators must attend to the call for increased accountability and professional standards. As they move into a new era of the community college movement, administrators can make a collective effort to increase the ethical performance of future leaders via written accounts of ethical problems and solutions, continuing to define the comprehensive mission, and by devising funding formulas that enhance ethical decisions. |
