Inhoud: The demand for accountability for student achievement has expanded considerably in recent years. Various constituencies outside the educational community have demanded that schools, regardless of the level, provide evidence in the form of student achievement that monies have been wisely spent in the education of both pre-adult and adult learners. One vehicle for reporting and verifying the progress of students is the institutional report card. This study identified a number of critical factors judged by deans of vocational education programs in community colleges to be vital in any determination of program success and posited these critical factors within a report card format appropriate for the distribution of a summative evaluation to interested constituencies.
