An approximate distribution is proposed for the Gini's rank association coefficient g which is, like Kendall's and Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, a statistic to test independence between two random variables. The purposed distribution can be simply transformed into a Student's T distribution; so, hypothesis testing is made much easier. |
