The sum of two orthant probabilities [image omitted] is expressible as a sum of products of two orthant probabilities of lower dimensions. The method of derivation is as follows. At first transform the variables to the independent standardized normal variables, and partition the space into 2k convex polyhedral cones and then evaluate the probability content of each of the cones. |
