Suppose x(1)≤x(2)≤…≤x(n) are the order statistics of a random sample of size n from the power-function distribution with distribution function F(x) = [(x-α)/β]Y, α≤x≤α+β. Using linear combinations of the order statistics x(1), x(2), …, x(n), best linear unbiased estimators of (1) α when β and γ are known, (2) β when α and γ are known, (3) α and β when γ is known, are derived.
