This study was designed to determine whether high public speaking apprehensive (PSA) students in India visualize themselves differently than do low PSAs in a speech setting. Results revealed that high PSA students envisioned themselves more negatively, less vividly, and being controlled more than did low PSA students. These findings are similar to those found with students in the United States. These data indicate that low PSAs saw themselves as more positive, more detailed, and more “in control”; than did high PSAs. |
