It was hypothesized that listener-adapted communication is proportional to the extroversion of the communicator. This hypothesis was tested by including another known predictor of listener-adapted communication (differentiation). The results of regression analysis are consistent with this prediction. The failure of differentiation to exert a substantial impact on listener-adapted communication may have resulted from the lack of complexity of the communication task. |
