In harmony with the recently announced international goals of the SCA, this article focuses on three areas. First is a review of the West German educational systems as a whole. Second, the current state of speech education in that country is examined and objectives of the German Speech Society (GSSSE) are explored for increased cooperation between the GSSSE and the SCA with implications for increased interaction with speech communications programs in other foreign nations. |
