—Experimental results are reported concerning the axial temperature profile, the exit conversion and NOx emission levels of a catalytic combustor for various inlet temperatures, velocities and fuel-air ratios. The catalytic combustor is formed of binary transition metal oxides (Co3O4, Cr2O3) supported on highly porous alumina pellets; lean propane-air mixtures are used for combustion. |
