The goal of the present study was to examine to what degree interactive variables at the level of couple sexual functioning and interpersonal communication affect sexual desire in couples. A comparison was drawn between couples with and without Hypoactive Sexual Desire (HSD). Two questionnaires were used: the Sexual Interaction Inventory and the Interpersonal Communication Skills Inventory. Results indicate that couples with (HSD) differed from their matched couples without HSD on the degree of satisfaction they experienced regarding their sexual interactions. The differences between these couples were less evident with the Interpersonal Communication Questionnaire. |
