The effect of drag reducing agents to lower the power consumption for gas liquid dispersions in a mechanically agitated system has been reported by Quraishi et al. (1976) and Mashelkar et al. (1975). The effect of these drag reducing agents on mass transfer characteristics is also of interest and hence this work is concerned with collecting preliminary data on mass transfer characteristics for gas liquid contactors of the gas inducing type. |
