A four-parameter cubic equation of stale with one interaction parameter is used to calculate the solubilities of carbon dioxide in twelve alkylbenzenes. Henry's constant, the partial molar volume at infinite dilution and the Margules constant are evaluated from the obtained optimum binary interaction parameters using the approach of Bender et al. (1984). The calculated thermodynamic parameters are correlated with three empirical equations in terms of the reduced temperature and the critical pressure of alkylbenzene. |
