This paper reports a case study of an Austrian primary school, one of 22 schools which took part in the two year (1996-98) pilot phase of the Ecologisation of Schools programme initiated by the Federal Ministry of Education and the OECD. The report covers the aims of the project, the school's first cooperative steps, the progress made during the project and the outcomes for the school. Schools in the project could call on members of the OECD team for guidance, and the author, herself a member of the Austrian OCED team, discusses her role as project facilitator. |
