Based on another paper from the recent CIB Congress, this article describes a study of product data systems in use by a project group from CIB working commission W52, which deals with all aspects of building information. The study found that about 20 000 different products were involved. A more intensive analysis of the treatment of five particular product groups revealed sufficient similarities to offer scope for international co-ordination. |
