Australian Hindu perspectives on new public curricula in Religious Studies and Values Education

Title: Australian Hindu perspectives on new public curricula in Religious Studies and Values Education
Author: Lovat, Terence J.
Appeared in: British journal of religious education
Paging: Volume 17 (1995) nr. 3 pages 168-179
Year: 1995
Contents: There is little recorded knowledge about the attitudes and perspectives of non-Jewish and non-Christian religious followers in Australia towards the inclusion of broad-based Religious Studies or Values Education courses in the curriculum of public schools. This paper traces ethnographic work conducted with a Hindu temple community in Sydney with the intention of gathering such knowledge.
