Visits to cathedrals as educational resources are increasing, but the motivation is often a desire to fulfil particular National Curriculum objectives and this often leads to a concentration on one aspect of the building. The author argues that it is necessary to approach a cathedral in its totality if its purpose as a spiritual building is to be understood. |
