This article deals with a potentially explosive theme: socio-cultural education in the Catholic church concerning sexual-ethical questions. Research was done on the way teachers of religion in schools in the Federal Republic of Germany and professional appointees of the church in church youth work deal with the sexual-ethical content. In other words, how these values and norms take up a place typologically in their consciousness. The first section describes the theoretical background (1) and the second one clarifies the construction of the empirical analysis of the sexual-ethical scales (2).
