Some effects of a school-organised work experience scheme on the career maturity of 80 fifth-form secondary-school pupils are reported. Career maturity was measured at the end of the scheme, using Crites' Career Maturity Inventory. Pupils who undertook work experience scored significantly higher than those who did not on three of the six scales comprising the criterion test. |
