Induction of sodium pentobarbital anesthesia. a circadian rhythm

Title: Induction of sodium pentobarbital anesthesia. a circadian rhythm
Author: Simmons, D. J.
Lesker, Peggy A.
Sherman, N. E.
Appeared in: Biological rhythm research
Paging: Volume 5 (1974) nr. 1 pages 71-75
Year: 1974-06
Contents: Pentobarbital anesthesia can be induced in rats entrained to a 12 hr photoperiod (09.00 - 20.00 hr) most readily during the first half of the environmental light period. Rats are most resistant to anesthesia at 21.00 hr. The cyclic changes in the time required for anesthesia induction and the duration of the effect appear highly correlated.
