The circadian, weekly and annual rhythm of pain sensation in syndromes of the lumbar area is studied and the effect of exogenous factors shown. The following numerical results were obtained: An undisturbed circadian cycle of pain sensation exists over weekends when the patients get no medical treatment. Women have a lower pain sensation than men. The pain sensation is correlated to the seasons, depending on sex. The consideration of the cycle of pain sensation should be useful for the treatment of lumbar syndromes. |
