Lack of effect of vaccination with an attenuated infectious bursal disease virus on the immune response to newcastle disease vaccination

Title: Lack of effect of vaccination with an attenuated infectious bursal disease virus on the immune response to newcastle disease vaccination
Author: Zanella, A.
Peli, A.
Castelli, G.
Mambelli, N.
Appeared in: Avian pathology
Paging: Volume 6 (1977) nr. 1 pages 1-8
Year: 1977
Contents: Vaccination at either 1, 7 or 15 days of age with an attenuated strain (vaccinal strain 1-65 PV) of infectious bursal disease (IBD) virus did not suppress the immune response to Newcastle disease vaccination. These results suggest that vaccination of chickens against IBD with vaccinal strain 1-65 PV does not damage the bird's lymphoid tissues and consequently its immunological capabilities against other infectious diseases.
