Title: Behavioural correlates of an australian version of the bem sex-role inventory
Author: Ho, Robert

Year: 1980-11-01
Contents: Behavioural correlates of an Australian version of the Bem Sex-role Inventory (BSRI) — concern over the negative consequences of success, achievement motivation, initial expectation of success at a task, and quality of performance — were investigated using multiple regression techniques. The results indicated that for both sexes, femininity was not related to any of the dependent variables. Masculinity was negatively related to concern over the negative consequences of success, and positively related to achievement motivation, initial expectation of success and quality of performance. These findings corroborate past research which used the BSRI and provide some support for the validity of the Australian Inventory as a measure of sex-role orientation.
