An apparatus for studying learning rates in a simulated industrial or machine control environment is described. Four channels of signals are produced which activate either a light source, dials (meters), a vibrotactile unit, or all of these displays in combination on each channel. Input to the displays is by tape recorded signals of varying intensities. The occurrence of a stimulus signal and the response to it are recorded on a multiple channel event-recorder. The apparatus is intended to facilitate research into the bisensory presentation of signals. |
