Nine item types were administered to Ss under two different conditions. Group I took them as nine homogeneous tests, Group II took them as nine composite tests. Both groups were given scores on homogeneous groups of items and these scores were factor analysed. The congruence of the two sets of factor loadings was very high and the factor loadings on the objectively rotated factors showed little systematic difference between the two groups. Plausible interpretations of the rotated factors seemed possible. |
