A fifteen-item questionnaire composed of a number of items drawn from established scales was validated on a sample of 91 normals and 75 neurotics. This was cross-validated on a sample of 89 normals and 91 neurotics and a cut-off point determined, on the basis of which 77.2 per cent correct classification was obtainable. Internal consistency of sub-samples ranged from 0.853 to 0.906 and field application of this instrument in over 750 interviews presented no difficulties. |
