Hexa-anminecobalt (III) tricarbonato cobaltate is used for direct determination of 1 to 100 mg L-ascorbic acid in synthetic standards and different pharmaceutical preparations. The proposed method depends upon visual titration of L-ascorbic acid in the presence of ferroin as indicator. The effect of common organic acids on ascorbic acid shows little interferences. 12.5 - 1000 mg ascorbic acid in different pharmaceutical preparations are determined with 99.9 - 100.48 % recovery and ± 0.01 to 0.8 % RSD. |
