Contents: The economics examination set by the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA) was restructured in June 1990 to include multiple choicequestions, and uses four examination diets to generate research findings on the determinats of economics comprehension; these include age, sex, educational qualifications and national background. The results are compared with findings relating to beginning economics studets at university.
