Sexual assault has been a recurrent subject of study in social work and feminist research. There is, however, a paucity of literature focusing on women in prison and their experiences of sexual assault. This paper discusses and examines a series of workshops conducted in a women's prison. These workshops focused on the women's experience of sexual assault. The authors conclude that there is a real need to provide sexual assault counselling in women's prisons. |
