This paper addresses the implications of social workers changing their position within the same medium-sized remote communities (that is, approximately 20,000 - 30,000 people). This issue has particular relevance to these communities, yet would not be relevant to the same extent in larger cities. Social workers who have changed their position within this sized community (Whyalla) completed a questionnaire examining what they perceived to be the implications for the worker, agencies involved, clients and the community. |
