Training for Welfare Roles in Australian Schools

Titel: Training for Welfare Roles in Australian Schools
Auteur: Craft, Maurice
Verschenen in: Australian social work
Paginering: Jaargang 31 (1978) nr. 4 pagina's 3-6
Jaar: 1978-12
Inhoud: In the first national review of school welfare provisions in each of the States of the Commonwealth which was recently completed, a number of sharply practical issues relating to the training of specialists emerged, and several of the more significant are raised for discussion below. First, the question of whether the specialization of school social work should be more fully developed within social work training. The contemporary professional climate, to which the United Kingdom Seebohm Report (1968) was a significant contributor and of which it was also an important and influential outcome, tends to favour “generic” rather than specialized training in social work.
