  Scientific Contributions of U.S. Plastic Surgeons to the Revue de Chirurgie Plastique and the Revue de Chirurgie Structive, Brussels (1931–1938)rid="*"id="*">e7<Editors Note:>/e7< In agreement with Ian T. Jackson, M.D., Editor-in-Chief of the >e5<European Journal of Plastic Surgery,>/e5< we both agreed that this historical contribution of Dr. Jacques Vrebos of Brussels should be distributed to as wide a plastic surgery audience as possible. In Dr. Jackson's own words: ``We have taken the somewhat unusual step of publishing it in both of our journals.'' As Ian Jackson emphasizes: ``It is important that we do not forget those who contributed so much to plastic surgery in the past.'' The editor was fortunate enough to study under two of the plastic surgeons whose articles appeared in these journals—namely, Dr. Jerome P. Webster and Dr. Lyndon A. Peer, and also enjoyed knowing as personal friends Drs. Robert Ivy, Jacques Maliniak, Gustavo Sanvenero-Rosselli, Clarence Straatsma, and Claire Straith.>e5<Blair O.
