Jackson, M.D., Editor-in-Chief of the >e5<European Journal of Plastic Surgery,>/e5< we both agreed that this historical contribution of Dr. Jacques Vrebos of Brussels should be distributed to as wide a plastic surgery audience as possible. In Dr. Jackson's own words: ``We have taken the somewhat unusual step of publishing it in both of our journals.'' As Ian Jackson emphasizes: ``It is important that we do not forget those who contributed so much to plastic surgery in the past.''
