Paginering: Jaargang 23 (1991) nr. 3 pagina's 267-272
Jaar: 1991-09-01
Inhoud: The rating ability of 28 industrial analysts was determined in terms of rating accuracy and consistency through the use of rating films. The analysts with some form of performance rating training rated significantly more accurately than those without such training. In terms of rating accuracy, on-the-job performance rating training proved significantly superior to formal or classroom training. The analysts with 40 or more hours of time study/performance rating training rated significantly more consistently than those with no such training. The rating consistency of the technology or engineering degree holders was significantly better than the high school diploma holders. The age, industrial experience and work measurement experience had no effect on the analyst's rating ability. The importance of on-the-job performance rating training is emphasized to ensure proficiency in performance rating in industry.
