An expected cost model of a process whose mean is controlled by an X¯-chart is developed by Knappenberger and Grandage [1]. Some expressions used in the model are not in accordance with the procedure described by the authors. These expressions are corrected in this note. The corresponding changes in the numerical example are also worked out here. |
