The United States glass industry is modeled as a multiple-objective linear programming problem with a focus on conserving energy. The crucial and conflicting criteria for evaluation of different energy conservation options are profit and consumption of natural gas, oil, and electricity. The newly developed interactive paired comparison method is applied to analyze and solve the problem. |
