Titel: Effects of Production Feedback and Standards on Worker Satisfaction and Job Attitudes in a Repetitive Production Task
Auteur: Das, Biman
Verschenen in: IIE transactions
Paginering: Jaargang 14 (1982) nr. 3 pagina's 193-203
Jaar: 1982-09-01
Inhoud: The combination of quantity and quality feedback in the presence of an assigned hard-task production standard was found to have a highly significant positive effect on worker satisfaction and job attitudes and to produce maximum improvement. The interaction between production feedback and standard was found to be highly significant in terms of worker job attitudes, but such interaction could not be established conclusively for worker satisfaction. A favorable effect was noted when the operators were provided with quantity and quality feedback and a normal production standard. The incorporation of an assigned hard-task production standard had no adverse effect on worker satisfaction and job attitudes. Monetary incentive had a negative impact.
