An acceptance sampling procedure for validating voter petitions is developed. Conventional statistical approaches have not been successful because of the difficulty in detecting multiple signatures of the same person. The probability of the appearance of duplicate signatures in a random sample is developed. A decision instruction for acceptance sampling is proposed. |
