A Markov Model for Quality Control Plan Selection

Title: A Markov Model for Quality Control Plan Selection
Author: Lave, Roy E.
Appeared in: IIE transactions
Paging: Volume 1 (1969) nr. 2 pages 139-145
Year: 1969-06-01
Contents: A Markov chain model is developed which provides a measure of the cost of using alternative plans to control the output quality of productive processes. Such a model provides a yardstick for selecting the “best” control plan structure for a given process. The model structure is explained by presenting the example of a two-state process controlled by a plan which executes corrective action on the first defective sampled.
