MacGowan and Parker’s Operation for Suprapubic Cystotomy 1 1 The transverse incision of Granville MacGowan, M.D., for Cystotomy, reported before the Genito-urinary Section of the American Medical Association in June, 1913. The technique has been modified and perfected in the private practice of Dr. MacGowan and Dr. Wilbur B. Parker, and in the Urological Clinic of the Los Angeles General Hospital of which Dr. MacGowan has been the director for the past forty years, and was presented in the form of a moving picture film to the Annual Meeting of the American Urological Association at Memphis, Tennessee, on May 20, 1931.
