With regard to this drug Wilson, Levitt, and Plunkett6 state the following: “AsterolR is a substituted benzothiazole, specifically the dihydrochloride of 2-dimethylamino-6-(beta-diethylamino ethoxy) – benzothiazole. It is a white crystalline substance soluble in alcohol and water. A 5% solution has a pH of approximately 2.0.
